My Bio
I was the first artist hired at Steve Jackson Games and Origin Systems where I worked on games such as Car Wars, Orge, Ultima, and Wing Commander. Did everything from box cover art to documentation illustrations, from 16 color pixel-edited graphics to 24bit 3D animation.

Now I want to work directly for my fans, and do the art they want to see. You can help me by becoming a Patron! www.patreon.com/denisloubet

The Ultima Codex is featuring an article on my early character concept work for Shroud of the Avatar. So far the comments have been kind.

Denis - I've been an admirer since THE SPACE GAMER back in the early 80s and your work for SJG way back then.  I'm delighted to see you're still producing great new works of art. Seeing your stuff is much like hearing how well a good old friend is doing, so I thank you for that and I thank you for the new stuff as well!
Thank you for the kind words! I've remained in the gaming industry pretty much, until now. Now I'm trying to do art for the gamers themselves, working directly for my fans.

Social media is an uphill battle, but I've got 70 patrons so far. Wish me luck! ;-)
O.K. just to harass you... your still my hero.
Well, my hero artistically speaking. You could be a super-villain in real life.
If you only knew how mundane my life was!
Big fan of the Non Prophets and now I get to enjoy your art too.  Cheers.
Thank you for the kind words! :-)

Just checked out your page here, looks like you've been busy! :-D

Good work! Oddly, no one has asked me to draw trademarked characters yet. What's up with that? ;-)
We have a couple small conventions here in Hawaii.  This year is the first year I've had a table in any.  The trademarked/copyrighted characters at conventions is an interesting issue.  I think it's broadly know to be technically a litigiously possible thing, it seems the major publishers turn a bit of blind eye to it though.... unless it is derogatory to the characters/properties and/or starts making a enough money to be noticeable.  Neither of which I'm doing.  Maybe if the local conventions grow to the point that the "big boys" start coming, then it'll be time to quite.  And certainly if ever get a cease and desist order I'll comply.  I will say, that for me, there's barely any financial incentive.  If I break even I'm happy.  If I'm lucky I'll make enough for nice dinner out with the missus.  But that anyone is willing to pay me at all to do what I'd be doing for free on my own anyway is great, and it's satisfying to get art into the hands of people that really enjoy it.  In the real world I'm a visual information specialist for the Navy, that's what pays the bills for me.

Hey, this may be an out there thought, but would you and Jeff ever consider guesting at a convention?  We have Hoku Kon starting up next year, which is centered around comics, gaming, sci-fi and fantasy.  You guys fall into a couple of those categories. Think it over.  If yes, I can pass you the Hoku Kon point of contact's information.

Again, love the podcast and the art.  Cheers.
